RESIDENTS at a Stourport care home took a trip down under with activities on Australia Day.
The team at Sanctuary Care’s Ravenhurst Residential Care Home decorated the home with flags and inflatable kangaroos before giving residents a didgeridoo lesson and helping them to paint boomerangs.
After an exhausting day deep in the Worcestershire outback, the residents and team enjoyed an Aussie supper of burgers and hot dogs.
Activities leader Carla Siwicki said: “The residents and team had a brilliant day. There was a fantastic atmosphere with lots of smiles and laughter.”
The day was part-funded by the Community Investment Fund at Sanctuary Group, the parent company of Sanctuary Care.
