Temporary traffic lights on Droitwich Road, Worcester, have had to be extended after a water main has burst.

The traffic lights were in place on the A38 but have had to be placed further down the road, causing traffic disruption.

A spokeswoman for Worcester County Council said: "Through working with Severn Trent Water, the Highways team have extended the temporary traffic lights on the A38.

"This action has been taken control the main area where the burst water pipe has occured and minimise disruption."

The temporary traffic lights were put there as part of planned road works being carried out by Worcestershire County Council.
