THE funeral of a long-serving trustee of a Kidderminster charity which provides transport for the elderly and disabled raised over £1,000 for the cause .
Roy Quinn, of Dial-A-Ride, died suddenly in December. It was his wish donations be made to the charity at his funeral.
Mr Quinn, 70, of The Deansway, was a volunteer minibus driver with Dial-A-Ride for years before becoming a trus-tee. He helped with fundraising and administration.
Nigel Caldicott, Dial-A-Ride manager, said: “I would like to express our sincere and heart- felt thanks to the Quinn family and to all of those who were so very kind by making donations in memory of a very special man."
