CALLOUS thieves stole threre charity boxes in Bewdley.

It happened at the Riverside Veterinary Clinic in Severnside South just after noon last Tuesday.

A woman, described as in her teens or early 20s, went in after peering in through the window and initially made an enquiry about pet insurance.

While a member of staff was dealing with another customer, she grabbed two cash boxes off the counter and ran out with a man who was already sitting inside the practice.

A third charity box which had been next to him was also found to have been stolen.

Staff ran out of the clinic to see the pair running off with another female towards Load Street.

The female offender who went inside was a slim brunette with a thin face and she was wearing a grey hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms.

The man appeared to be in his early 20s, had short brown wavy hair and was wearing a dark tracksuit and carrying a black rucksack with white piping. The other young woman was also thought to be in her teens or early 20s and was blonde.

The charity boxes contained an unknown amount of cash and belonged to the RSPCA, Cat Action and Swan Rescue charities.
