POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in the street in Bewdley.
The victim was removing items from her car in Queensway at about 11.30am on Saturday when she became involved in an altercation with a woman and a man who both assaulted her, pinning her to the ground.
They walked off towards the town centre after a member of the public intervened.
The woman who was attacked was left with bruising and swelling to her face, shoulder, back and legs and sought treatment at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
PC Angela Maddock, who is investigating, said: “This was a nasty incident and we want to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard any part of it or can help us to identify those involved.”
