THERE will be no let up on the wet weather with a lot more rain expected over the next few days.

Flood barriers remain in place along both sides of the river in Bewdley including Beales Corner.

The river level in the town is currently 4.59 metres and a peak level of between 4.6 and 4.8 metres is expected on tomorrow.

Bewdley Bridge, the Switchback and the B4195 Stourport Road remain closed in the town due to the rising river levels. Lincomb Lane, in Stourport is also shut.

There is also disruptions to bus services. Routes affected include: 2 / 2A / 2C (Bewdley - Kidderminster): Due to the closure of Bewdley Bridge, these services will operate from Kidderminster to Wribbenhall as normal, then divert via Stourport Rd and Bewdley Bypass to access the Town Centre and turn here. These services will therefore operate with significant delays.

15 (Kidderminster – Stourport – Bewdley): This service is operating as normal from Kidderminster as far as the Severn Valley Station in Bewdley, then turning around and diverting via Bewdley Bypass to access the Town Centre.

125 (Stourbridge - Kidderminster - Bewdley - Highley – Bridgnorth): This service will operate from Kidderminster to the Safari Park as normal, then divert via Stourport Road and Bewdley Bypass to access the Town Centre. It will then continue operating its normal route towards Bridgnorth.

291 (Tenbury – Bewdley – Kidderminster): This service will operate from Kidderminster to the Safari Park as normal, then divert via Stourport Road and Bewdley Bypass to access the Town Centre. It will then turn around and continue operating its normal route towards Tenbury.

292 (Kidderminster – Bewdley – Ludlow): This service will operate from Kidderminster to the Safari Park as normal, then divert via Stourport Road and Bewdley Bypass to access the Town Centre. It will then turn around and continue operating its normal route towards Ludlow.
