BEWDLEY'S river levels have risen to almost five metres over night as rain continued to batter the district.

The highest level ever recorded in the town was 5.56 metres and the water levels are set to be the highest in 14 years.

Road closures are still in place at Bewdley Bridge, the Switchback and the B4195 Stourport Road, Bewdley. Lincomb Lane, Stourport is also still shut to traffic.

Flooding also caused chaos for drivers on the A448 in Chaddesley Corbett yesterday. (main picture by Dale Teague)
