PEOPLE in Kidderminster have the chance to find out more about funding long-term care during an event in the town on Friday.

Independent health and social care provider Care UK is inviting them to attend its Brook Court care home, Oldnall Road, at 11.30am, where the team is joining forces with Phillip Bailey, financial planner at Ashcourt Rowan.

Mr Bailey will share his knowledge and provide information and practical guidance on funding long-term care, whether caring for someone in their own home or looking at care homes.

As well as finding out more about funding options, including state and local authority assistance, visitors will have the opportunity to ask their own questions.

The home's manager, Linda Clements, explained why she was opening the doors to Brook Court for the Care Fees Planning event.

β€œAt Care UK, we understand being armed with plenty of expert advice and information can make all the difference for those who are planning for the future care of loved ones," she said.

"By hosting a seminar on the subject, we can ensure this information is communicated clearly and concisely, with visitors having the opportunity to speak directly to the professionals in this area, as well as team members from the care home.”

Care UK runs 109 care homes and provides care for thousands of people living in their own homes.
