KEMP Hospice is holding a coffee morning for people interested in volunteering at its new Kidderminster shop.

Preparations are well underway for the flagship store, in Coventry Street, which will open on Friday, March 7 at 11am.

The coffee morning, open to anyone who would like to support the shop, will be held next Thursday from 10.30am at the new store.

Kemp's senior shop manager Dawn McAdam said: "We are all very excited to have secured the former premises of In Touch in Coventry Street.

“Anyone interested in volunteering for Kemp, please do come along to our coffee morning and find out more about who we are, and importantly the vital retail work that we do in support of Kemp Hospice.”

Kemp's new shop will offer a dedicated children's section, a men's shop as well as a boutique designed and created by students from the Kidderminster Academy.

Lynne Jones, Kemp's retail manager, said: “We are so grateful to everyone for their help in getting the shop ready for the grand opening, and also to the many wonderful students from Kidderminster Academy who have spent hours designing and creating such a fantastic boutique.

“We are hoping that the rain will have stopped by opening day on Friday March 7, as Tom Campbell and the Signal 107 team will be out and about the town helping us celebrate as well as collecting wonderful donations for the new shop."
