POLICE are inviting anyone who has been the victim of vehicle crime in Wyre Forest to attend a property identification day at the town’s police station.

The event takes place on Friday, from 1pm to 3pm and 5pm to 7pm. It was organised after a quantity of small electrical items such as sat navs, iPods and iPads were recovered at an address in Bewdley, while others were found at pawnbroker and secondhand shops in Kidderminster.

PC Steve Thomas of West Mercia Police said: “We believe these items are stolen but cannot match them up to any of the thefts from vehicles which have been reported recently in Wyre Forest.

“Therefore, anyone who has been victim of a theft in which items such as these have been stolen are asked to come along to one of the sessions, bringing any receipts, original packaging or serial numbers they have.

"If they don’t have any proof of ownership, they will need to provide a detailed description.

“It is a good opportunity for people to get their belongings back, while helping us to build a case against the suspect.”

Anyone who wants further information about the day is asked to contact PC Matt Winmill on the non-emergency number 101.
