A MAN has been arrested by police investigating a robbery in Kidderminster.

The incident happened in Broad Street between 4.45pm and 5.35pm on Wednesday, February 26, after the 52-year-old victim placed an advert in a shop to sell an MP3 player and was contacted by someone who arranged to meet him outside the Old Peacock Inn pub in Blackwell Street.

The man led the victim to the junction of Broad Street and Churchfields where he grabbed the Apple iPod Mini out of the victim's hands and walked off in the direction of St Mary's and All Saints' Church. The victim suffered a minor finger injury as he tried to hold on to the iPod but did not require medical treatment.

A 32-year-old Kidderminster man was arrested on Thursday last week and released on police bail until next Tuesday, March 18, pending further inquiries.
