A KIDDERMINSTER supermarket turned the store into a reading corner to help youngsters at Wolverley Sebright Primary School celebrate World Book Day.

As part of Sainsbury’s Make Believe campaign, staff members in Kidderminster read to 31 children and helped them make their own bookmarks and masks.

Each child also received a copy of Disney's Tangled.

Wolverley Sebright Primary headteacher Shelley Reeves-Walters said: “This has been a great opportunity for our children as it will enable them to be inspired into developing their reading abilities.

"We were thrilled to hear that our school was selected to take part in this event and all the children were all really excited."

Sainsbury’s spokeswoman Helen Bower said: "Our Make Believe event is now so recognised by our customers and it was a privilege for our store to be involved in a reading corner, especially as we sell such a wide range of children’s books."
