A WHEELIE bin was set on fire outside a house in Kidderminster.

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service was called to deal with the blaze on the front drive of an address at Woodbury Road at about 9.40pm last Sunday, March 2. Police officers also attended and are now appealing for witnesses and people with information to come forward.

A 47-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident that evening and released on police bail after questioning.

A police spokeswoman said homes in the area had been visited and inquiries were continuing.

She added: "It is clear this bin was set on fire deliberately and we also know there were cars driving past the scene at about that times and possibly other people nearby. We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have noticed anyone acting suspiciously in or around addresses in Woodbury Road between 9pm and 10pm that night.

"The smallest detail could be important to our investigation so if you know anything that might be connected with this then please get in touch."
