A BRONZE statue was among items stolen during a burglary in Kidderminster.
The incident happened in Chester Road North between 6am on Friday last week and 4.30pm on Monday. Offenders went to the rear of the property, which backs on to Quantock Drive and levered a window.
The bronze St George and the dragon statue, which was about 12ins high, was of sentimental as well as monetary value. Other items taken included a bronze letter stand, an antique wooden closk with barley twist legs, a Samsung laptop, a Samsung notebook, a Blackberry mobile phone and a gold Rotary watch.
Together the stolen items were worth between £1,500 and £2,000 and police say house to house inquiries have been carried out.
