ANIMAL-lovers can get their pooches pampered at a Kidderminster pet store's charity grooming event.

Pets at Home in Crossley Retail Park will be raising funds for Forest Dog Rescue on Saturday.

The store will be offering half price teeth cleaning and nail clipping for dogs and small animals and will be showing off their grooming skills with demonstrations.

The first grooming demonstration, giving people an idea on how to correctly take care of their pets, will take place at 9.30am.

At 11am, there will be a four-legged fancy dress show with numerous prizes and at 1pm, a dog from Forest Dog Rescue will be arriving for a special grooming session.

Another grooming demonstration will be held at 4.30pm.

Tara Newell, assistant stylist, said: "Forest Dog Rescue are one of the charities that are partnered up with the store. I work quite closely with them as they helped with my dog when it went missing. We groom their dogs and help them find new homes."
