There was some bright football from both sides, but defences were on top and little in the way of chances at either end.

Gash was showing up well for the home side against his former club but a mean Cambridge defence rarely gave Harriers a decent look at goal.

Gittings was also probing well from midfield for Gary Whild's men, but they needed someone to show a bit more craft to open up a confident Cambridge rearguard.
