SCOUTS and Guides will parade through Stourport to mark St George's Day.

The event in the town takes place from 2.30pm on Sunday when the Severn and Teme District Scouts group will leave Memorial Park, Park Avenue and head to Church Drive for a service at St Michael's and All Saints Church.

Those taking part will march from Park Avenue, along Lickhill Road, High Street and Mitton Street to Vale Road before reaching Church Drive for the service which is expected to last about 45 minutes to an hour.

They will march back to Park Avenue along Worcester Street and Bewdley Road.

Wyre Forest District Council has announced road closures will be in place along the route on a rolling basis between 2.30pm and 4.15pm.
