KIDDERMINSTER College students celebrated the glitz and glamour of prom season by showcasing the latest trends at an event.

The prom fair, held by hair and beauty students, invited year 11 pupils from Wyre Forest schools to learn about the latest hairstyles, nails, skincare and make-up in preparation for their own upcoming proms.

The event was also open to staff, students and the local community and took place in the main reception area where demonstrations and taster treatments were available and level three beauty therapy students were on hand to answer any questions and offer free advice.

There was also a hair and make-up competition during the event for level one hairdressing and level two beauty therapy students.

The competition concluded with a catwalk show and the students were judged on the hair, make up and styling of the models.

The winning hairstylist was hairdressing student Rebecca Jones and the winner of the make-up competition was beauty therapy student Sophie Elemes.
