A BEWDLEY pub is holding a golf tournament in bid to raise thousands of pounds for a children's cancer charity.
The George Hotel will be hosting the event at Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club on Wednesday, July 2 for CLIC Sargent.
Team leader Kathryn Humphries said: "We have chosen CLIC Sargent as it is the charity that JD Wetherspoon decided to support as a company.
"As a pub last year we raised £8,400 for CLIC, £3,000 of that was from our annual golf day. This year, we hope to beat that."
The golf day costs £55 per player and teams can be made up of four people.
The price include 18 holes of golf, a bacon sandwich and coffee, an evening buffet and entertainment.
The pub is also offering evening tickets for £20 per person.
