AN "immature" Kidderminster teenager who became sexually involved with two 14-year-old girls wept in the dock as he was sent into custody at a Worcester court.

Jamie Boseley, of Pershore Court, Park Street, Kidderminster, got involved with the girls when he was aged 18, Peter Grice, prosecuting, told Worcester Crown Court.

He met one of them in the summer of 2012 while he was homeless and they engaged in sexual activity. Boseley, now 19, said they were boyfriend and girlfriend but he admitted he knew exactly how old she was.

He met the other girl in a park in Kidderminster in the same year and they formed a relationship over the internet, meeting up for sexual activity over a period of weeks on a number of occasions, Mr Grice said. Boseley also had pictures of both girls on his mobile phone, one topless and the other naked and lying on a bed.

Boseley admitted two charges of sexual activity with a child involving one of the girls and three charges involving the other girl. He also admitted three charges of possessing indecent images of children.

Jason Aris, defending, said Boseley was very immature and would be vulnerable in custody.

Judge Toby Hooper said Boseley believed he had been involved in "sincere relationships" with the girls but the law existed to protect children from themselves. Boseley, he said, was particularly immature and had not had a settled adolescence but he had committed serious sexual offences.

He was given concurrent custodial sentences of three and a half years on each of the sexual activity offences. He was also given concurrent sentences totalling five months for possessing indecent images, making a total of three and a half years in custody.

He will also be subject to a sexual offences prevention order restricting his involvement with children until further notice and will be on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
