THE rhinos at West Midland Safari Park came for a slice of the action to help launch this year's Marie Curie Cancer Care Blooming Great Tea Party appeal.
Marie Curie nurse Anne Brady and community fundraiser Alysia Cameron-Price hope to encourage people in Wyre Forest to hold their own Blooming Great Tea Party to raise funds for nurses who provide care to terminally ill patients in their own homes or in hospices.
Friends, family, neighbours, workmates or even rhinos can share a cuppa, afternoon tea or a summer garden party for Marie Curie.
Ms Brady said: "It is so important for people to be able to spend their final days in their place of choice, and for most people this means at home surrounded by the people and things they care about most.
"We rely on the generous support of the local community to ensure more terminally ill people can receive this care at the time when they need it most”.
