A CCTV image has been released by police of a woman they want to identify in relation to a mobile phone repair bill not being paid.

Officers need help to identify the woman who took an iPhone to be repaired in Kidderminster and then failed to pay for it.

The woman went to CS Micros, Stourport Road, on April 16, with an iPhone 5 which had a broken screen and arranged for it to be repaired at a cost of £135.

She collected it about an hour later but appeared to make two failed attempts to enter her bank card PIN number and then took the phone, saying she would call her husband and ask him to bring her another bank card.

While the assistant was serving other customers, she opened the shop door, said she was going to fetch another card and ran from the store. It is believed she got into the passenger seat of a silver Ford Focus car.

The incident is being treated by police as making off without payment.

PC Joanne Woodward, of West Mercia Police, said: "The woman took the phone without paying for the repair work and has not returned to offer payment.

"The woman gave a Blackpool address, saying she was visiting Kidderminster but she had a Kidderminster accent and is believed to be from the local area."

The woman is described as white, aged about 30, about 5ft 5ins in height, of chubby build, with brown hair in a ponytail which reached halfway down her back and was wearing a white woolly long-sleeved top with brown coloured shoulder pads, white jeans, sunglasses on her head and large black hooped earrings.

Anyone with information should call PC Woodward on 101, quoting incident 357-S-160414, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
