A MAN suffered a broken jaw when he was assaulted in Kidderminster.
The attack took place in Stourbridge Road, opposite Broadwaters Park, at 4pm on bank holiday Monday, May 5. An altercation there between two men led to one of them being punched in the face.
The victim, who is in his 30s, went to hospital where it was later confirmed he had a broken jaw.
Det con Amy Kitosi-Isanga said: "The attack resulted in a nasty injury and it is very important that anyone who saw any part of what happened, or who was involved, comes forward and talks to us.
"It is a busy spot and this happened on a bank holiday afternoon so that increases the chances of someone having seen or heard something."
A 44-year-old man from the Kidderminster area has been arrested in connection with the incident and released on police bail until July 1, pending further inquiries.
Detectives are appealing for any witnesses to come forward with information by calling north Worcestershire CID at Kidderminster Police Station on 101, quoting incident reference 397-S-050514, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
