SCOUTS, Cubs and Beavers in Areley Kings have been learning about life in the First World War to mark the centenary since it began.
The groups were visited by re-enactor John Sewell who spoke to them about life as a soldier and have been encouraged to research their family history to find out what members of their families did during the war.
Their research, which will be aided by a session at Stourport Library, will form a travelling exhibition for Scout huts and libraries.
A replica trench is also going to be built at Rhydd Covert campsite where re-enactors will camp during a heritage weekend in September to demonstrate the workings of the trench system. A tethered hot air balloon will help groups of youngsters to see the system from above.
