FOUR new jobs have been created in Bewdley after a mobile app agency achieved rapid business growth.

TBC Digital, which is based at the Snuff Mill Warehouse in Park Lane, Bewdley, has recruited three new developers and a digital project manager while a new apprentice will start in the summer.

The company builds consumer, enterprise and game apps for iOS, android and windows phones and its staff have created products for the BBC, Sky, and Sony.

Dr Martin Saunders, the founder and managing director of TBC Digital, said: “It is great to have created these new jobs and to support people who otherwise would have had to travel a long way to work in this industry.

“The new staff are brilliant and in their respective areas they are all better than me at what they do.”

The firm has expanded after focusing on the growing mobile app market and it will turnover more than half a million pounds in the coming year.

Recent projects have included developing the initial version of Shareight, a record-breaking social shopping app, and the Olly Smith wine app which featured in the Sunday Times’ list of the world’s best apps.

The company is also working with big names in the mobile technology sector including the ex-managing director of Gameloft UK, and has global clients in London, New York and San Francisco.

TBC Digital is based in a historic saw mill surrounded by oak beams and staircases, and with views across to a church steeple.

Dr Saunders, 35, who grew up in Bewdley, added: “Our location makes for a peaceful and pleasant working environment, and this helps encourage creativity.”
