EXPLOSIVES FIND: Police evacuate parts of Comberton estate.

Reports are coming in that West Mercia Police evacuated parts of the Comberton estate in Kidderminster following the discovery of explosives.

The incident is now over and residents are being allowed to return home.

Ian Miller, chief executive of Wyre Forest District Council, initially tweeted at 2.20pm: “@WMerciaPolice evacuating area in Comberton estate because of find. @WyreForestDC will open rest centre if necessary.”

He added at 2.46pm: “Incident in Comberton estate over, @WMerciaPolice allowing people to return home. Good to know that everyone is safe.”
