A ROBBERY in Kidderminster saw £200 stolen from a man moments after he withdrew it from a cash machine.

The victim, who is in his 50s and uses crutches to walk, had withdrawn the money from the cash machine outside the HSBC bank in Church Street between about 2.10pm and 2.20pm yesterday.

He placed the money inside a Sainsbury's canvas bag and crossed over the road to his car, which was parked outside Thursfields solicitors next to an alleyway.

The male offender grabbed the canvas bag, causing the victim to fall in the alleyway and ran off with it. As well as the £200 cash, it contained medication and an HTC mobile phone.

The offender was wearing tan or green trousers and light blue trainer type fashion shoes.

Officers say the victim was not injured but was very distressed.
