FOR a second year, Kemp Hospice was chosen as CAMRA’s Beer Festival Charity.
Kemp had a fully-staffed stand in Kidderminster Town Hall for the event and raised £321 from its raffle.
Beer and cider-drinking festival-goers more than doubled that amount, raising a further £334.70p - made up from £175.60 in donated unused beer tokens and a further £159.10 from the sale of pump clips, donated by a variety of breweries.
Nick Yarwood, chairman of Wyre Forest CAMRA, said: “More people attending this year’s event meant more donations and sales and we are pleased to have well surpassed last year’s donation of just over £200.”
Alice McMahon, Kemp Hospice fundraiser said: “We are very grateful to Wyre Forest CAMRA for their continued support and to everyone who gave so generously. We are really delighted with the total raised over the three days of this most successful and enjoyable event.”
