THE sixth annual Think of Others golf day was held to raise funds for Henry Bowers, of Bewdley, who is suffering from Fredrichs Ataxia.
The disease is a muscle wasting one that has no cure. The aim is to raise funds for a wheelchair and powered trike.
A total of £900 was raised on the day by the teams taking part. Boots Opticans of Kidderminster sponsored the event, held at Ombersley Golf club, which was followe by an after-dinner auction.
The EBC Group won the event by just one point, finishing on 95 stableford points from Ombersley Golf school, with Sultans of Swing a further two points behind.
A race night is now planned for October in aid of the charity.
