HOLY Trinity School Parent Teacher Association has donated £875 to Kemp Hospice.
A cheque was presented towards the charity’s Kemp for Kids initiative, which provides bereavement support to children and young people, at the school’s end of term prize-giving ceremony on Tuesday, July 8.
Michelle Howles, chairman of the PTA, said: “Every year we choose a local charity to benefit from our annual summer fair event, with this year’s selection being Kemp for Kids which offers specialist care and support to children in need, their families and carers who are dealing with a life limiting illness or bereavement.”
Kevin Hateley, head of fundraising at Kemp Hospice, added: “It was a delight and honour to be invited to join the school to celebrate students’ achievements and I would like to thank the PTA and the school for this wonderful donation which will be used to support the ongoing work of Kemp for Kids.”
Kemp Hospice provides clinical, emotional and spiritual care with practical support to those in Wyre Forest with life-limiting illnesses. It also supports those that have been bereaved.
The hospice needs to raise £940,000 annually to continue to provide these services, the majority of which comes from voluntary donations and the support of the local community.
