STOURPORT Workmen’s Club held a charity cabaret show in aid of injured troops at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

Organiser Trevor Shuck said the evening was very successful, as the group were able to raise £780 on the night.

“I would like to say a big thank you to all the artists who took part and gave their time free of charge,” he said. “Without them we could not have made it.”

The club also held a presentation of life membership awards, which were given to Andy Farley and Rob Blunt.

The club regularly offers a range of live bands and entertainment, including dancing and bingo, and has a two function rooms, which can accommodate parties and meetings.
