BRITISH Comedy Award winners and BAFTA nominee duo Cardinal Burns are stopping off in Kidderminster as part of their inaugural UK tour.

Seb Cardinal and Dustin Demri-Burns, who won widespread acclaim for their debut TV comedy series, will be performing in the town hall on Thursday, October 9.

From Rachel and Yumi to Banksy, Turkish Cabbies and the Office Flirts, the duo will bring their mix of obscure and dark characters to Wyre Forest.

After meeting at film school in Edinburgh, Seb and Dustin established themselves as sketch writers and performers on the comedy circuit before really making their mark with their self-titled show at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2009.

They went on to achieve sell out runs at London's Soho Theatre and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, as well appearances at Latitude, and the Leeds and Reading music festivals.

In 2011 they began working on their first television series from which they received three British Comedy Awards nominations in 2012 – the most for first time nominees – eventually walking away with best sketch show.

They also scooped two Broadcast Awards and a Loaded Lafta in the same year while in 2013 they were nominated for a BAFTA and the Rose d'Or award for comedy.

As well as their own series, the pair have appeared together in Steve Coogan’s Saxondale while individual credits include Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa, I Give It a Year, Kill Your Friends, Psychobitches, Life’s Too Short, Spy and The Mimic.

Due to the success of the first series of Cardinal Burns, series two was commissioned in September last year by Channel 4 and it hit our screens in April this year to a similar response.

Tickets for the show which starts at 7.30pm costs £16.50 and can be bought from the box office by calling 01562 732158 or online by visiting cardinalburns.com
