TICKETS are now available for a special service at Worcester Cathedral later this month to celebrate the work of NHS staff around the county.

The Service of Celebration on Sunday, September 28, is one of a series of events being held throughout the month by Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs Kidderminster Hospital, to celebrate the achievements of staff.

A procession through Worcester city centre at 1.30pm, before the service at 2pm, will kick off the event, which will be led by Bishop of Worcester, The Rt Rev Dr John Inge.

Harry Turner, chairman of the trust, said: “My main ambition, amongst other things, is that we engage with and take every opportunity to recognise the excellent work done by our staff.

“I know there are many people who share my sentiments and will want to show their support and appreciation for their local NHS services.

“I know that the service is going to be a fantastic celebration and I urge people to come along and share what promises to be a very memorable day.”

Other events being held throughout the week include a ceremony recognising those who have worked for the trust for 25 years or more, a staff appreciation day, and the trust’s annual staff achievement awards.
