BEWDLEY Pumpkin Fayre was hailed extremely successful for another year as the town’s shops decorated their shop windows with pumpkins.

The event, organised by Bewdley Chambermaids took place on Saturday October 25 and Sunday October 26.

The event had around 40 local stalls and in addition was joined by the Continental Food and Craft Market.

Shops in Bewdley got involved by decorating their shop windows, which were judged by Janet Ince from the Bewdley Carnival Committee. First place went to Clementines Tea Rooms on the High Street.

Bewdley Chambermaids also held a competition to Guess the Weight of a very a large pumpkin, kindly donated by Bewdley Farm Shop. The winner was Phil Cureton from Willenhall, whose guess was the closest to the weight of 21.44 kilos.

Event organiser, Ann Lyman, said: “The Pumpkin Fayre went extremely well.

“We would like to thank all those who took part.”

She added that they are now looking forward to seeing many people at the Bewdley Christmas Lights Festival on Saturday November 29.
