AN attempted robbery on a 90-year-old woman took place yesterday in Kidderminster.

West Mercia Police is appealing for witnesses to the incident which took place between 5pm and 6:30pm, on Mill Lane.

The victim heard a knock at her door and answered it. A young woman wearing a hooded coat pushed the victim over and entered her house, leaving her on the floor. She went through her belongings and asked where her money was. When the victim said she did not have any money, the offended stepped over her and left, closing the door behind her.

It is not believed that any items were stolen.

The victim remained on the floor until she was found by her carer. She was treated by paramedics at the scene.

The offender is described as a young, white woman, about 15 years-old, wearing a light grey warm looking fluffy coat that came to her knees. The coat had a hood which was up and loose. She is described as slim and about 5ft tall.

A police spokesperson said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard the disturbance or who thinks they may know who the offender is.”
