TWO members of the Bewdley Royal British Legion branch have decked out their car in poppies as their way of commemorating those who lost their lives in war.

Mike Winspur, 47, spent hours preparing his 1994 Mini Cooper S, which he has used for rallying and hall climbing at the famous Shelsley Walsh, with his dad Alan – a veteran of the Suez crisis.

The pair have decorated the outside of the car, which has now been retired by Mike, with poppy stencils and have painted the mini's bonnet white.

This is so people can write the names of lost loved ones onto it.

The car will be out in force around the district next year attending fetes and carnivals to promote the work of the legion.
