A MAN has been arrested after police were called to a domestic incident thought to involve a gun in Stourport last night.
At about 11.20pm yesterday, West Mercia Police were called to the incident in Baldwin Road when they received reports that a man was threatening to harm himself and a member of his family, claiming to be in possession of a firearm.
Officers quickly attended, including a police negotiator and police dogs.
A safe resolution was reached at about 1.30am and nobody was injured.
A 27-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of affray and a firearms offence.
He was taken to hospital to be checked over before being taken into police custody, where he remains this morning.
A thorough search of the property was carried out. No firearms were found. A number of kitchen knives were seized from the property.
