A KIDDERMINSTER school is extending the hand of friendship across the sea as part of an international project.

Heathfield School, in Wolverley Road, has been accepted to take part in a three-year International Erasmus Plus project in a scheme called “Home Sweet Home”.

Pupils from Heathfield will link up with youngsters from partner schools in Turkey, Spain, Greece and France on joint ventures, including visits to each other.

The aim is to improve digital and language skills and to foster European relationships.

The first part of the project was to design a logo, with each school choosing their best, and the winner – from a pupil in Greece – was chosen in a “European Song Contest” vote by teachers.
