KIDDERMINSTER residents are invited to an event to find out more about planning care for the future at a local care home.

The event takes place on Friday, November 28, from 11am to 12.30pm at Care UK’s Brook Court care home, in Oldnall Road.

The team at the home are joining forces with Perdeep Asi, financial planner at Ashcourt Rowan, for a free information seminar. He will be sharing his knowledge and providing practical guidance on funding long term care, whether caring for someone in their own home or looking at care homes, and visitors will have the opportunity to ask their own questions.

Linda Clements, home manager, said: “We often find that people find decisions difficult with a lack of support and advice when it comes to care and often due to a crisis situation, there is little time.

“By hosting a free information session, we can open up direct access to trusted professionals who can clearly explain the options when it comes to funding care and we can also support the people of Kidderminster who are thinking about plans for the future care for their loved ones right now.”

Those who attend the free seminar at Brook Court can also pick up a copy of Care UK’s ‘Listen, Talk, Connect’ guide which helps friends and relatives to overcome the challenges they may face in having conversations and general interactions with those living with dementia.
