A STOURPORT man who was crushed between two lorries at his workplace died as a result of an accident, a coroner has ruled.
Kevin Scott died minutes after the incident at Tooles Transport, in Rushock Trading Estate, Droitwich, on December 11 last year.
And almost one year on, Geraint Williams, senior coroner at Worcestershire Coroners Court, has concluded that the incident was an accident.
The 60-year-old had managed to free himself from the vehicles, which caused serious crushing injuries, but suffered from hypovolemic shock and a cardiac arrest. He died about an hour later still at his workplace.
At the time of the tragedy, tributes were left on The Shuttle's website, including kind words from workmates and neighbours who said he was a "character" who always made them laugh, a "true gentleman" and would be sadly missed by all.
