KIDDERMINSTER Harriers Independent Supporters Trust (KHIST) has secured sponsors to support them in a walk to raise money for a charity which supports parents who lose a baby.

CMS Vauxhall have agreed to sponsor the trust’s walk t-shirt ready for the walk on Good Friday, in memory of organiser Dave Pountney and his wife Beckie’s daughter, Charlotte May, who was born sleeping in June last year.

The couple have been helped through their loss by the support of a local charity, Towards Tomorrow Together, which supports parents who lose a baby through pregnancy, birth or as an infant.

The charity event will take place on Friday, April 3, when more than 50 walkers will make their journey in one day to AFC Telford, a distance of 35 miles, via the Severn pathway in support of the couple and to raise money for the charity.

Karl Davies, co-organiser, said: “’Fifty Shades of Walking Boots’ is the tag for the walk. After all, we have 50 walkers participating.

“So far we have raised more than £3,500 of our £10,000 target for the charity.”

You can donate to the cause at justgiving.com/walktelford/. People can also donate by texting KHFC50 and the amount to 70070.
