WYRE Forest residents are being reminded to put the right item in the right bin when recycling.

Wyre Forest District Council will be holding a Rubbish and Recycling Roadshow outside Kidderminster Town Hall on Saturday, March 28, between 10am and 3pm.

Residents will have the opportunity to ask questions and find out how they can do their bit for the environment.

An information guide has been delivered to every household within the district offering tips and hints for recycling.

Joanne Ford, Wyre Forest District Council’s waste minimisation officer, said: “This helpful guide has been produced as a reminder of what can go into the bin and some helpful hints on materials that residents may not be aware they can recycle, such as aerosol deodorant cans and cardboard washing powder boxes.

“It is important that contamination levels are kept at a minimum and collection crews will be extra vigilant when collecting bins.”

Residents will also have the chance to sign up to the Garden Waste Collection Service at the road show and have their bin delivered for free.

If residents have any queries about their rubbish and recycling collection service, they can call the Operational Services Team on 01562 732528.
