A SOLITARY Lisa Stokes strike was enough to give Kidderminster Harriers Ladies a battling 1-0 win over Stratford Town in West Midlands Regional Women's Football League premier division.

They have a fixture-free Sunday this weekend.

Harriers Ladies reserves continued their good run of form when goals from Debbie Prescott and Tracy Evans secured a 2-0 win at Droitwich Diamonds in the Women's County League.

They will be hoping to keep their run rolling when they host Droitwich Spa in the Soccersite Trophy semi-final on Sunday.

Harriers ladies are on the look out for new players for the 2007/08 season and are holding an open training session at 7pm on Wednesday at Wilden Village Cricket Club.

Kidderminster Lions FC have recruited the help of ex-football international Marieanne Spacey to encourage girls to play football.

KLFC, the only FA Charter Standard development club in Wyre Forest already have 13 boys teams playing in the Stourport and District Youth League. They are currently looking for girls aged between five and 14 in order to enter girls teams into the Mercian Football League.

Spacey, capped 92 times for England, and the former manager and player of Fulham Ladies FC, will be on hand to help with training.
