BEWDLEY motorists are being advised of road closures in the town centre on Good Friday due to Bewdley Passion 2015 taking place.

The second part of the play will take place in Load Street from 2.30pm on April 3, when the crucifixion will take place.

There will be road closures in place covering Beales Corner, the Severn Bridge and the whole of Load Street from 1.15pm to 4.15pm.

Drivers will need to use the Bewdley Bypass to navigate their way into Bewdley during the day.

Car parking for the event will available at Bewdley High School, in Stourport Road.

The Bewdley Passion play takes place over three days beginning today (Thursday, April 2). The play will tell the story of the betrayal and the arrest of Christ, the crucifixion and the resurrection.

The first performance took place in 2013 and saw more than 2,000 people pack into Bewdley town centre to mark one of the most important events in the Christian calendar.
