WYRE Forest District Council have teamed up with West Mercia Police to raise awareness of the dangers of loan sharks.
The England Illegal Money Lending Team in partnership with the Community Housing Group, the council and the police to launch a campaign to raise awareness.
Through the campain they aim to encourage people to turn away from loan sharks and to report the crime if they have been a victim.
During the 'Bite Back Week' which runs from Monday, May 25, to Friday, May 29, the partnership will be raising awareness of the dangers of borrowing from loan sharks, how people can get help if they are in debt and highlighting alternative and safer ways to save and borrow money.
The week will end with a Fun Day at Birchen Coppice Primary School, in Woodbury Road, on Friday, from 11am to 2pm, with children's entertainers, face painting and a bouncy castle.
