CHILDREN at a Kidderminster school have created a special present to send to the new royal Princess.
Following their recent visit to see Princess Anne at Severn Valley Railway, children at Comberton Primary School, in Borrington Road, were all looking forward to seeing the latest edition to the royal family.
But after seeing pictures of William, Kate and their new daughter, Charlotte, on television, the pupils wanted to do something more, and send a present to the fourth in line to the throne.
Four pupils in Year Six came up with the idea creating and sending some personalised bunting to give to the family as a present.
Olivia Rundell, one of the pupils, said: “We always have bunting when we have a royal party, so we thought it was the perfect present.”
Sue Childs, headteacher, said: “We are so proud of our children. The royal family is such an important British institute and we were lucky to see Princess Anne up close last month.
“But I had no idea the children would do this on their own, although it does not surprise me.”
Staff, children and governors at the school have all signed the bunting to send to the family.
