PEOPLE planning to travel by train over the Bank Holiday will be relieved to know that rail unions have called off strike action.
Members of the RMT and TSSA unions were due to stage a 24-hour walkout from 5pm on May 25 in reaction to a pay dispute with Network Rail.
However after the unions received a new pay offer, the industrial action was suspended and many train services will now run as planned on Monday and Tuesday.
#VTInfo As a result of planned industrial action being cancelled, the original timetabled services have been reinstated for 25th & 26th May.
