AN inquest has opened into the death of a Kidderminster woman who died after being admitted to hospital.
Wendy Rosemary Kinsella, 70, of Habberley Street, became unwell and had undergone radiotherapy treatment.
She had surgery in January 2015 before being discharged from the Worcestershire Royal Hospital, to where she was readmitted in May but died shortly afterwards on Friday, May 15.
The Worcestershire Coroner’s Service opened an inquest into her death on Thursday, May 21, and adjourned the same day for a final hearing.
The medical cause of death, to be confirmed at the inquest, is listed as intestinal obstruction and peritonitis and severe peritoneal adhesions following radiotherapy for carcinoma of the cervix.
