A BLAZE which destroyed a Dudley snooker hall is being treated as arson, police have confirmed.

More than 40 firefighters tackled a huge fire Dudley Snooker and Pool Club in Stafford Street, which broke out in the early hours of Sunday (May 24) morning.

The building was left structurally unsafe as a result and is set to be pulled down later this week. It remains cordoned off.

West Midlands Police today confirmed that the fire was started deliberately.
