THE Diabetes UK’s Wyre Forest branch is to hold an open evening in June, to promote National Diabetes Week.
The open evening will take place on Wednesday, June 10, from 4pm to 7pm, at the Fred Holland Centre for Diabetes at Kidderminster Hospital.
Local diabetes specialist nurses Lyn Gilbert, Dawn Edwards and Jadwiga Borns will be available for advice and support throughout the event.
Trade stands with the latest diabetes products, local diabetes UK representatives and dietary information will also be available.
A belly dancing display will also take place, as well as on the spot health checks courtesy of Tesco Pharmacy.
National Diabetes Week takes place from Sunday, June 14, to Saturday, June 20, to raises awareness of the condition and vital funds for Diabetes UK’s work.
